Two Warren County men were in the county jail this morning after deputies found them in possession of “several hundred dollars in auto parts,” Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Comelia B. Floyd Jr. and Robert L. Butler, both 26, were charged with grand larceny and commercial burglary after Deputy Rodney Lehman saw a Chevrolet pickup at 1:45 a.m. behind Abe’s Tire Automotive, 1700 U.S. 61 North, that continued up the highway, Pace said.
Upon stopping the pickup, supplies were found that were determined to have been taken from two storage bins at the shop, Pace said. “They were essentially caught red-handed,” Pace said.
Both men gave addresses on Gibson Road, but Pace said he doubts their accuracy.
No bond had been set this morning, pending an initial appearance in justice court.
