A Vicksburg woman was arrested and charged Friday afternoon with false pretense, jail records showed.

Ida M. Russell, 59, 2535 Oak St., was arrested around 2:20 p.m. at the police department, Vicksburg police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Stewart said Russell went to Mutual Credit Union, 1601 Cherry St., to withdraw $660 cash. The bank teller gave her $660 in cash, but instead of subtracting that amount from her account, an additional $660 was added to her account.

Stewart said Russell then went to another Mutual branch and withdrew the $660 that was accidentally added to her account. That led to the false pretense charge, Stewart said.

She was released from the Warren County Jail Friday afternoon on $10,000 bond.
