Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Jones of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Ann Ashton, to Conner Stennis Jones. Mr. Jones is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Jones of Hattiesburg.

Miss Jones is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Hannaford of Vardaman and Martha Sherer Jones and the late Rev. David Russell Jones of Water Valley, N.Y.

Mr. Jones is the grandson of Lynelle Jones and the late I. Tom Jones and Mr. and Mrs. William Taylor, all of Hattiesburg.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Vicksburg High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication with an emphasis in broadcasting from Mississippi State University. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority and the Society of Scholars.

Miss Jones is an account executive for Town & Gown Magazine.

The prospective groom is a 2008 graduate of Oak Grove High School. He received a Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University, where he was a member of Beta Upsilon Chi and Phi Kappa Phi.

Mr. Jones is pursuing a Master of Public Accountancy degree from MSU.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m. July 28, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Vicksburg. A reception will follow at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center.
