Felony shoplifting charge leaves man in jail with no bail

A Vicksburg man accused of felony shoplifting was held without bail today.

Matthew Dill, 30, 114 Hawkins Road, was arrested Friday on a drug court violation and was charged today with third-offense shoplifting, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Dill is accused of stealing a Samsung Blu-Ray player valued at $179 from Walmart, 2150 Iowa Blvd., Stewart said.

In January 2009, Dill pleaded guilty to shoplifting, third offense, and was sentenced to the Ninth Circuit Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years.
