Services for Alex Summers were at 11 a.m. today at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Earnie Hall officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Summers died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. He was 76.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Ring Williams; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including Bertha Carson and members of the McDonald and Johnson families of Vicksburg.
