Four face charges for fake checks worth $4,800

Four people accused of passing fake checks at a credit union were held without bail today.

Petrina Doyle, 33, 1312 Spring St.; Pierre Hagen, 21, 344 Province Town Drive, Country Club, Ill.; Amanda Doyle, 24, 2930 E. Main St.; and Troy Bunville, 20, 2310 E. Main St., were arrested and charged with false pretense at 5:21 p.m. Wednesday, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

The four were arrested while trying to pass a fake check for $2,500 at Mutual Credit Union, 1601 Cherry St. after passing a fraudulent check for $2,300 at the credit union’s location at 4210 Clay St,, Stewart said.

At the time of their arrest, $2,241 of the $2,300 was recovered, Stewart said.

All four were held without bail in Issaquena County Jail awaiting their court appearance.
