Easter Burnett died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 75.

Mrs. Burnett was born in Utica to the late George Sr. and Sally Martin. She was a member of Zion Travelers M.B. Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Frank W. Burnett; a son, Ray Anthony Burnett; and two sisters, Elizabeth Flowers and Geneva Shears.

Survivors include three daughters, Alice Virginia Burnett of Missouri City, Texas, and Mary Burnett and Loretta Burnett, both of Vicksburg; one sister, Azzie Mae Strong of Vicksburg; four brothers, Wesley Martin, George Martin Jr., and Johnny Martin, all of Utica, and Paul Scott of Natchez; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Travelers M.B. Church with the Rev. Alfred Lassiter Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Second Union Baptist Cemetery in Utica. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 until 6 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
