LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Billie Whittington Sherrill, a former Vicksburg resident, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at her home. She was 74.

Mrs. Sherrill was a graduate of Carr Central High School and was employed at South Central Bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carey Earl Sr. and Estelle Whittington; two brothers, Carey Earl Whittington Jr. and David Whittington.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Sherrill White of Denver; two sons, Jeff Sherrill of Costa Rica and Kyle Sherrill of Eureka Springs, Ark.; a sister, Peggy Dickinson of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Sam Whittington of Tracey, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Aug. 26 in Denver under the direction of Runyan Stevenson Chapel of Lakewood, Colo.
