PORT GIBSON — Viola “Vi” Noble Jenkins died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Patient’s Choice Hospital in Port Gibson. She was 92.

Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her son, Dr. John Charles Noble; and a brother, Phoenix Noble.

Survivors include a sister, Rachel Noble Washington of Buffalo, N.Y.; two brothers, Pastor Willis Noble Reed and Willis Noble, both of Buffalo; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and other relatives and friends, including Bessie Shorts of Lorman.

Services were at 11 today at St. Peter A.M.E. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Bryam McKenzie officiating. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
