Vicksburg police and the Warren County Sheriff’s Department will be allowed to buy equipment with a $32,428 Department of Justice grant announced by U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson Wednesday.

In the past, the city has used its portion of the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant to buy a new car, but Chief Walter Armstrong said a decision on this money has not been made.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said the county will use its share to buy radios for patrol cars.
