We want to express our thanks for everyone who helped to make our recent campout at Rivertown Campground a success.

About 65 campers from six Mississippi Good Sams RV Clubs were present. We thank The Vicksburg Post for the article about our campout. It was read by many people and we had very positive comments.

A great time was had by all as they shopped, ate, saw the sights of Vicksburg, played dominos, cards, other games and drank coffee and visited with old and new friends.

Friday night entertainment was by a sister and brother duo, Melissa and Jack Harper, and their mother, Donna Harper. Saturday night, “One Voice” from Bovina Baptist Church sang for us. Their members are Darlene Taylor, Lisa Tillotson, Shirley Stuart, Angie Standish, Brenda Thurman, Gina Channell, Phyllis Oldenburg, their “Sound Man” Wayne Oldenburg and Jack Hollingsworth. We thank them all so much their singing. It was superb.

Goody bag items from BancorpSouth, Trustmark Bank and RiverHills Bank were a tremendous help. We also thank C.C. and Don Starnes, managers of Rivertown Campground, and various campers who helped as they were needed. Becky Yelverton of Shipley’s supplied us with donuts for our Sunday morning gathering. Jack brought our devotional and gospel singing and we were “greatly blessed.”
