Lucille Trahan Hubert

Lucille Trahan Hubert died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 81.
Born in Crowley, La., Mrs. Hubert was the daughter of the late Desiré Trahan and Ozeta Monceaux Trahan. For the past 52 years, she was a resident of Eagle Lake, where she and her late husband were in the cattle business.
Mrs. Hubert was active in professional and civic organizations for many years. She was a member of the Eagle Lake Baptist Church, where she was an adult Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by a daughter, Jaketa Platt of Eagle Lake; two sons, Billy Hubert Jr. of Bovina and Will Hubert of Eagle Lake; five grandchildren, Cody Platt, Joey Husk, Hannah Hubert, Keith Lassabe and Garrett Armstrong; four great-grandchildren, Alex Husk, Baylee Husk, Alex Lassabe and Madison Lassabe; and a sister, Ceal Spell of Crowley, La.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Pete Hubert Sr.; two granddaughters, Courtney and Erin Hubert; and a sister, Laura Leux.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Anderson officiating.
