EDWARDS — Services for Peter Walter “P.W.” Morrow will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Poplar Grove Independent Methodist Church in Utica with Pastor James O. Bowman Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 7 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.
Mr. Morrow died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at his home in Edwards. He was 89.
He was born Dec. 4, 1922, in Hinds County to the late Fred and Pinkie Morrow. He was a member of New Poplar Grove Independent Methodist Church, where he served as chairman of the Deacon Board.
He was employed with the Hinds County Road Department and the Corps of Engineers Mat Sinking Unit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Clark Morrow; three children, Walter Morrow, Alma Morrow Kinnard and George Upson; three sisters, Selma Morrow, Alma Myles and Zeanette Cooper; and one brother, Fred Morrow.
Survivors include five daughters, Ida M. Odems and Rosie M. Noel, both of Edwards, Esther Cole of Utica, Margaret A. Jamison of Inglewood, Calif., and Margaret J. Lemon of Opelousas, La.; four sons, Larry D. Morrow of Raymond, Johnny Morrow of Vicksburg, Ronnie Clark of Edwards and Bobby Clark of Byram; two sisters, Thelma Moore and Jeanette Clark, both of Edwards; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
