Marion Peaches

Services for Marion Peaches will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s M.B. Church in Bovina with the Rev. Tyrone Dixon officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Saturday at Robbins Funeral Home and Sunday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.

Mr. Peaches died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 71.

Mr. Peaches was retired from the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was a member of St. Paul’s M.B. Church and American Legion Tyner-Ford Post 213.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Satterfield and Mary F. Reed; and two brothers, Charles Peaches and Jacky Peaches.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie J. Peaches; two sons, Troy Peaches of Kansas City and Joseph Carter of Vicksburg; three daughters, Latasha Peaches and Regina Peaches of San Antonio, Texas, and Wanda Carter Butler of Vicksburg; two sisters, Rosie Lee Meeks of Vicksburg and Elois Price of Chicago; a brother, Joe Willie Peaches of Sugar Grove, Ill.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives.
