William Henry Ellsworth III

MOBILE, Ala. — William Henry Ellsworth III died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at home. He was 84.

Mr. Ellsworth was born Sept. 13, 1927, in Mobile. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, Murphy High School and McGill Institute. He served in the Merchant Marines and was employed with May Supply Company.

After receiving his real estate license, he opened Ellsworth Realty, which he operated for more than 35 years. He attended Azalea City Church of Christ in Semmes, Ala.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Jr. and Helen Leona Gottschalck Ellsworth.

Survivors include a son, William Henry Ellsworth IV; three daughters, Mary Elizabeth Bolton, Patricia Diane Mosley and Anne Lee of Vicksburg; two sisters, Helen Bru and Mary Catherine Ellsworth; a brother, Joseph Henry Ellsworth; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile. Burial will follow at Wolf Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 8.
