KOSCIUSKO — Lura Carolyn Eubanks Gunter, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012.

She was born May 14, 1917, to David Monroe Eubanks and Lura Vashti Thomas Eubanks in Purvis, Lamar County, Miss. She was a lifelong resident of Mississippi and was a member of Harvest Point Baptist Church in Kosciusko. After graduating from Blue Mountain and Hillman colleges, she worked for and retired from the Mississippi Welfare Department as a social worker for approximately 20 years.

Over those years, she developed a personal relationship of trust with many people and loved dealing and helping with their personal needs. No one loved the Word of God as much as Carolyn, and she was continually interceding in prayer for her family, friends, community and country, not to exclude Worldwide Missions and Missionaries.
