Mr. Morse, Miss Carr recite vows

Landon Patrick Morse and Lacy Elizabeth Carr were married at 6:30 p.m. June 23, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in Tupelo. The Rev. James Richard Curtis officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lyndal Carr Jr. of Tupelo, formerly of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gordon Lyndal Carr Sr. and the late Mr. Carr of Vicksburg and Georgia Cook Loe and Lamar Tracy Loe of Jackson.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Alan Brodsky and Lande Shane Morse, both of Vermillion, S.D. He is the grandson of Joan Brodsky and the late Raymond Emil Brodsky and LaRena Virginia Morse and the late Alan Gene Morse, all of Vermillion; the late Patricia Ann Schaer of Laurel, Neb.; and the late Marvin Frederick Schaer of Grand Island, Neb.
A program of nuptial music was presented by Beverly Clement McAlilly, organist, and Carrie Elizabeth Hancock, vocalist. Flowers were placed in memory of the bride’s grandfather and uncle and the groom’s grandparents and aunt.
Matron of honor was Bonnie Carr Mize, sister of the bride, of Tupelo. Bridesmaids were Kara Jo Brodsky, sister of the groom, of Vermillion; Mary Harkness Morton Carr of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; Marilyn Wells Hill of Nashville, Tenn.; Kelli Byrd Miller of Brookhaven; Susan Ashley Richburn of Houston, Texas; and Lacey Lauren Thiel of Ridgeland.
Brady Scott Efting of Denver, Colo., served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Shane Morse, brother of the groom, and Wesley Peter Christensen, both of Vermillion; Matthew Tracy Carr, brother of the bride, of Santa Rosa Beach; Casey John Efting of Denver; Paul Eugene Mize III of Tupelo; and Cory Gene Novak of Topeka, Kan.
Program attendans were Megan Elizabeth Beasley, Ashley Linton Blount, Mallory Marie Logan and Erin Elisabeth Peary. Special wedding assistants were Dona Davis Porter and Nancy King.
Ashley Linton Blount served as the bride’s proxy.
A reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents. Guests were entertained with music by the 1-900 Band.
Following a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple is at home in Tupelo.
Rehearsal dinner
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a seated rehearsal dinner on the rooftop of Park Heights Restaurant for members of the wedding party and family.
