Mr. White, Miss Green exchange vows July 14

Dameon Latroy White and DaQuita Green were married at 3 p.m. July 14, 2012, at Baltes Gym.

The bride is the daughter of Howard Green Sr. and Julia Mays, both of Port Gibson. She is the granddaughter of Azell Green of Port Gibson.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hatchett of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Henry White and Hattie Mae White of Vicksburg.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were hot pink, malibu and white.

Maids of honor were Denita Smith and Kristy Wilson, both of Vicksburg. Matrons of honor were Monica Davis and JaQuita Johnson, both of Vicksburg.

Bridesmaids were Demetrice Mays and Jennifer Green, both of Port Gibson; Kinya Jenkins of Houston, Texas; and Darkemia Mays, Patricia Moore, Umeka White, Annie Smith and Keisha White, all of Vicksburg.

Serving as best men were Lorenzo Montgomery of Arlington, Texas, and Edrick Love and Walter Erwin, both of Vicksburg. Groomsmen were Howard Green Jr. of Port Gibson; Dexter Wilson of Edwards; and Calvin Green, Willie Pinkins, Cedrick Amoh Jr., Jessie Johnson, Fred Gilliam and Michael Hall, all of Vicksburg.

Ushers were Charles Edward “Red” Davis, James Watkins and Shaquille Williams, all of Vicksburg.

Flower girls were Shatavia Pinkins, Katerriana Davis and Keyzerrick Green, all of Vicksburg, and Jada Henderson of Port Gibson. Ring bearer was D.J. White of Vicksburg.

Miniature bride was Kimberlyn White. Miniature groom was Dameon White Jr.

Bible carrier was Anthony Walker Jr. Lonnell Earls served as bell ringer.

A reception followed the ceremony. Hostesses were Shirley Mays, Loria Mays, Carolyn Henderson, Samantha Henderson, Kentija Tarleton, Tameka Tucker and Carla Robinson.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to North Carolina.

The bride is employed with the Vicksburg Warren School District, and the groom is employed with Willbros Pipeline Construction.
