Two truck drivers work to begin clearing debris after a northbound dump truck careened off Mississippi 3 near Redwood Monday afternoon, slicing through a residential lawn, hitting a culvert and water meter before slamming into a mobile home that was being prepared to be moved. The owner of the mobile home, Vivian Middleton, 2160 Mississippi 3, said a bedroom and a bathroom were destroyed. The wreck, which was reported at 2:06 p.m. and investigated by the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol, injured no one. Cpl. Odis Easterling said the cause is believed to be a slowdown in traffic ahead of the truck and the driver had to leave the road to avoid a collision.
