Eva C. Walker Stampley

Services for Eva C. Walker Stampley will be at noon Saturday at Jackson Street M.B. Church with Elder James Harrell Jr. officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the family present from 6 until 7 and Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Stampley died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at home. She was 64.

Mrs. Stampley was born in Jefferson Davis County to Robert and Mary Walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Walker Jr.; and a sister, Evelyn Walker.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Stampley; a daughter, Michelle Stampley; three sons, Jerry Lee, Charles and Kevin Stampley; four sisters, Willie Nell Ferguson of Jackson, Mary Johnson of Warrensburg, Mo., and Joyce Evans and Rosie Wince, both of Vicksburg; six brothers, Charlie Walker of Seattle, James Walker of Anchorage, Alaska, Edmond Walker of Belleville, Ill., and John Walker, Melvin Walker and Raymond Walker, all of Vicksburg; five grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including the Davis and Gaines families of Vicksburg.
