Bobby L. Ferguson Sr. died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at his home. He was 78.

He was a retired carpenter and a lifelong resident of Vicksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Ellis Ferguson Sr. and Beverly Murphy Ferguson; his wife, Claudia Elaine Ferguson; four sisters, Eva Faye Ferguson, Ruth Hoben, Dorothy Harrell and Joan Redditt; and three brothers, Claude E. Ferguson Jr., Charles R. Ferguson and Gene Ferguson.

He is survived by two sons, Bobby L. Ferguson Jr. and David A. Daily, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Kathy Ferguson Hooper and Janice Wright Dulaney, both of Vicksburg; one brother, James R. Ferguson of Vicksburg; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Goodrum Baptist Church, 4569 Fisher Ferry Road.
