FOREST — Kenneth Ray Neal Sr., age 77, a resident of Forest, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, following a brief illness.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 this morning, Oct. 2, 2012, from the chapel of the Ott & Lee Funeral Home with interment at the Sims Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, with the Rev. Scott Fortenberry and the Rev. Tim Lott officiating.

Mr. Neal was a lifelong resident of Forest. He was a member of the Forest Baptist Church. He owned and operated Neal Pest Control Inc.

His activities in the industry included serving on the advisory board of the Mississippi Pest Control Association and the Mississippi Housing Authority Board. Mr. Neal was very involved in community activities. He loved people. He was past president of the local Lions Club and coached Little League baseball. He had a great love for the outdoors, as he was an avid bird hunter, and loved water sports.

Mr. Neal believed in working hard and was a good provider for his family. He was a devoted son, husband, Dad, Grandpaw and a friend to anyone he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nettie Duncan Neal; and two granddaughters, Angela Neal and Paige Neal.

Survivors include his loving wife, Gay Neal; three sons, Kenny Neal (Cindy) of Joplin, Mo., Truitt Neal of Tallulah, La., and Ron Neal (Audrey) of Forest. He also leaves a legacy of four grandchildren, Morgan Neal, Laken Neal, Ty Neal and Hayden Neal; and one great-grandchild, Keller Neal.

Pallbearers were Richard Bell, Tommy Harrison, Randy Gibson, Richard Wilkerson, Chad Tadlock and Ronnie Craig.

Honorary pallbearers were Chris Fisher, John Stroud, Lisa Mobbs, Randy Dilley, Joe Tadlock and Walter Mack Burns.
