MAYERSVILLE — Helen Ruth Ford died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, as the result of a car accident. She was 63.

Ms. Ford was a bus driver for the Friends of Children Head Start Center and a dispatcher for the Issaquena County Sheriff’s Department.

Survivors include eight brothers, the Rev. Larry White of Mayersville, James E. White, Hilliard White III, Michael White, Glen Ford, Shawn Ford, Marcus Ford and Kelvin Benard Ford, all of Jackson; and six sisters, Bertha Logan of Madison, Mattie White Thomas and Dr. Beryl White Polk, both of Clinton, Lillie Benson of Florence, S.C., Sharon Fair of Diamondhead, Miss., and Cassandra Cox of Ontario, Calif.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill M.B. Church in Mayersville with the Rev. Larry White, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Mayersville. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home.
