Frank Edward Cousins

Frank Edward Cousins died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 80.

Mr. Cousins worked as a towboat captain for more than 40 years for various companies, including Smith Towing and T.L. James. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in Korea.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Cousins; his mother, Ruth Davis Cousins; a daughter, Trudy I. Tero; six brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Rodgers Cousins of Vicksburg; three sons, Frankie Lee Cousins, Glen E. Cousins and Thomas J. Cousins, all of Vicksburg; four daughters, Paula R. Bryant and Rose Stamey, both of Vicksburg, Maxine Cousins of Eudora, Ark., and Kimberley I. Davis of Denham Springs, La.; two brothers; one sister; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. John Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Cousins, Tommy Cousins, Joseph Tarver, Robert Dalton, Ben Hearn, Max Hearn, Tony Tero and Mike Harmon.

Honorary pallbearers will be George Leach, Curtis Leach, Bubba Leach, Bobby Leach and Walter Cousins Jr.
