Traffic delays should be expected between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Mission 66 for the next three to six weeks as a new gas main is installed, a release from the city gas plant said.
The department will replace a main from MLK and Jefferson Street south to Mission.
Weather will dictate how long the project lasts, the release said. It will result in the eastbound lane of MLK being closed when crews work, said gas supervisor James Beamon.
Motorists are asked to use caution and slow down, the department said.
