The Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation is so grateful for all the many organizations and individuals that encouraged, sponsored, volunteered, supported and participated in the 24th annual Over the River Run.

The financial support from Ameristar Casino, Anderson Tully, BlueCross and BlueShield of Mississippi, Shape Up Sisters, DiamondJacks Casino, MEA Medical Clinics, Mutual Credit Union, New York Life/Stan Kline, New Health Chiropractic Center, Rainbow Casino, River Region Health System, Trustmark National Bank, May & Company, and The Vicksburg Post make the event a success before the first entry form arrives.

Donated support from Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Coomes Produce, Gulf States Golf Cars, Rod’s Racers, Waste Management, Vicksburg National Military Park, and the Woodmen of the World means so much to the success of this wonderful community event.

The 200 volunteers consisted of representatives from all over the community who worked the day of the event and the many nights before bringing everything together. A special thanks to the dedicated city and county officials of Vicksburg and Delta, La, the Vicksburg Bridge Commission and Mississippi Department of Transportation. Their teamwork allows us to run the race safely and without complication.

Between the pre-event organization, the after-party and everything in between, everything went extremely well. We look forward to hosting the 25th Over the River Run on Oct. 12, 2013.
