Bill Carstanjen, president of Louisville, Ky.-based Churchill Downs Inc., owners of Riverwalk Casino, walks past the bra-covered gate to the U.S. 80 bridge over the Mississippi River Thursday. The fifth annual Bras for Breast Cancer fundraiser raised $21,144 for the American Cancer Society. Cheryl Duhon, Riverwalk director of marketing, said 16,144 bras were donated and displayed on the bridge. Riverwalk Casino donated $1 to the American Cancer Society for every bra collected and other donations were received. The bras are to be taken down and donated to women’s shelters across the state.
