Air Force Airman Ashlin B. Federick has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. She completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline, core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles. She also earned four credits toward an Associate in Applied Science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

A 2009 graduate of Vicksburg Catholic School, she is the daughter of Lisa and Mark Federick of Tallulah.

Army National Guard Pfc. Dequincy C. Bingham has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. His nine weeks of training included the study of the Army mission, history, physical fitness, basic combat, rifle marksmanship, field tactics, basic first aid and foot marches.

A 2009 graduate of Madison High School, he is the son of Patricia Bingham of Tallulah.
