JACKSON — Ruth Hardy Tramel passed away on Nov. 9, 2012. She was 87.

A prayer service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the grave site at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Jackson. Visitation will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson.

Mrs. Tramel was born Sept. 24, 1925, in Jackson. She was a housewife and mother. She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church. She loved to fish, camp, travel and bowl.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, A. L. Tramel, Jr.; her parents, Earl and Kathleen Hardy; three brothers Jim, Ed and Jack Hardy; a sister, Marguerite Hardy Furman; and a son-in-law, Sammy Mooney.

She leaves two daughters, Linda Mooney Harvey (Ronnie) and Debbie McCaffrey (Darrell); four grandchildren, David and Kevin Mooney (Amy), Julie Tallman (Dale) and Scott Woodward (Holly); four great-grandchildren, Samantha and Nathan Tallman, and Liz and Jo Jo Woodward; two sisters, Eva Ellis Hughes, and Jane Barrow; and numerous nieces and nephews.
