YAZOO CITY ­— Mary Gladys Saxton Davis of Benton died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at her residence. She was 84.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Davis; her parents, George Saxton and Alma Hasty; a granddaughter and two sons-in-law.

Survivors include four sons, John Griffin Davis, of Benton, Bobby Leo Davis of Benton, Billy Leon Davis of Madison, and Harry Saxton, all of Vicksburg; four daughters, Angela Ellet, Janie Arlen Luby, Judy Brewer and Jean Henson, all of Benton; two brothers, Howard Saxton and J.T. Saxton, both of Yazoo City; three sisters, Ila Ward of Benton, Carlee House of Benton and Ruby Ward of Vicksburg; 29 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev Arlie Francis officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the service at the church.

Stricklin King Funeral Home of Yazoo City has charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be George Doby, Leon Davis, John Johnson, David Bryant, David Doby, Chad Jones, Wesley Boone and Mike Ellett.
