Pleasant Green Baptist Church Youth Group member Jonathan Boyd, 13, a seventh-grader at Vicksburg Junior High School and the son of the Rev. Gwendolyn Brown and Noland Boyd, helps pack meals before delivering them to residents of Carmel Manor Senior Center Sunday. Brown, Pleasant Green Baptist Church’s youth minister, said the youth group is being taught the lesson of giving by preparing meals for the residents of the center on Bowman Street. This is the third year the youth group has prepared and served the meals.
