EDWARDS — James Perry Beard died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was 67.

A Mississippi native, Mr. Beard attended Redwood High School. He served four years in the Navy and moved to Seattle, Wash., to work for Boeing. He retired from the Teamsters before working and retiring from Chrysler Corp.

He is survived by a son, James Beard Jr. of Seattle; a daughter, Amber Beard of Seattle; two brothers, Charles Beard of Edwards and Rodney Beard of Carthage; four sisters, Gracie Park of Vicksburg, Janice Bowman of Edwards, Jeanette Tatum of Knoxville, Tenn., and Rosa Lee Anderson of Mackey, Idaho; and four grandchildren.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
