Mrs. Bobbie Jean Allen, age 80, of Vicksburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. A graveside service celebrating her life will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 6, 2012, at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery in Vicksburg.

Mrs. Allen was a native of Vicksburg and resided here all but the last two years of her life when she moved to Clinton after the death of her son, retired Vicksburg Police Chief Jimmy Brooks. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her grandchildren, Jamie Brooks, Tina Brooks Beaube, Jonathan Brooks, Jason Brooks and Justin Brooks; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Beaube, Caitlyn Beaube, Lauri Beaube, Blake Brooks, Andrew Brooks, Rebekah Brooks, Mathew Brooks and Eli Brooks.
