A Warren County man accused of robbing grave sites for scrap metal will stand trial in September.

Christopher Avery Livingston, 21, who lives on Sweetgum Lane, entered a not guilty plea Tuesday after indictment last month by a Warren County grand jury for 10 counts of malicious mischief.

Circuit Judge M. James Chaney set trial for Sept. 15.

Livingston is accused of robbing grave sites of ornamental metal vases at Green Lawn Gardens and causing damage in excess of $500 on each of the 10 counts.

Livingston took the vases and sold them as scrap metal, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Additionally, a man already facing trial in a murder case will stand trial in September for sale of a controlled substance.

Edward Tyrone Mazie, 30, who lives on Washington Street waived arraignment and did not appear in court Tuesday.

Chaney also set Mazie’s trial for Sept. 15.

Mazie is accused of selling marijuana to a police informant on Nov. 19, according to his most recent indictment.

In April, Mazie was indicted for accessory after the fact to murder in the shooting death of 19-year-old Jules Humphrey of Jackson.

Humphrey’s body was found Jan. 2, 2012, on Jackson Road about a mile from Vicksburg’s city limits.

Other indictments, including name, age, the charge and arrest or offense date, released this by the District Attorney’s Office following arraignments or waiver of arraignment Tuesday:

• Heather Denise Haase, 27, of Pearl — possession of a controlled substance, June 18.

• Misty Dawn Powell, 25, who lives on Maple Street — possession of a controlled substance, June 19.
