Parker Ellsworth Leon, 63, of Raymond, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Parker was born Nov. 20, 1950, in Canton to Charles and Geraldine Leon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and telling stories. He donated his body for research to the University of Mississippi Medical School, continuing his giving nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Geraldine Leon, and a son, Daniel Charles Leon.
Parker is survived by two children, Barbara Leon Conway (Kyle) of Ridgeland, and David Leon (Lauren Louise Funchess) of Brandon; a brother, Charles Leon (Linda) of Madison; a sister, Louise Leon Powers (Fletcher) of Batesville; and a niece and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Eagle Lake United Methodist Church in Eagle Lake with Bro. Troy Piccaluga officiating.
Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service at 1 p.m.
