Aaron Thomas died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home following a lengthy illness  He was 68.

Mr. Thomas was a retired foreman for Ferris Farms and was a member and usher of St. Paul M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma Lee Price and Ida Mae Thomas, and two brothers, Joe George Thomas and Edward Leon Price.

Survivors include his wife Betty Thomas; a son Aaron Thomas Jr., both of Vicksburg; four daughters, Ida Thomas, Dessie Stimage, both of Vicksburg, Arshinda Lyons, of Ocean Springs, and Sandra Myles, of Jackson; eight brothers, Robert Thomas, Louis Thomas Porter Thomas, Jerry Thomas, Ed Thomas, Jimmie Lee Price, Patrick Price, all of Vicksburg, and John Lee Price of Cleveland, Ohio; 10 sisters, Katie Thomas, Annie Lou Thomas, Laura Thomas, Doris Thomas, Carolyn Thomas, Patricia Price, all of Vicksburg, Catherine Thomas of Crystal Springs, Mary Martin of Utica, Lucy Hunt and Annie Bell Coleman, both of Cleveland, Ohio, seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Second Union M.B. Church with the Rev. Johnnie B. Martin officiating. Burial will follow St. Paul Cemetery with W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.
