Loyce N. Lomax died Feb. 6, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. She was 86.

Mrs. Lomax was a bookkeeper for Cary Baptist Church, in Cary, and also worked for Bert Darden C&B Farms and Belmont Gins for 26 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Jewell Lomax Sr.

She is survived by a son, Henry Lomax Jr.; a daughter, Catherine Jobe, both of Cary; two sisters, Frankie Bailey, of Georgia, and Wanda Bell of Tennessee; a brother, Doyle “Pete” Avant, also of Tennessee; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Cary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. with Br. Johnny Sanders officiating. Glenwood Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
