Man arrested for cigarette theft

A Jackson man accused of stealing cigarettes from a Vicksburg business was held without bail this morning.

Tarence Earl Wade, 28, who lives on Pansy Street in Jackson, was arrested Thursday and charged with burglary, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.

Wade is accused of stealing a box that contained 30 cartons of cigarettes from Rite Aid, 3046 Indiana Ave., in January, Kimble said.

Wade was has also been charged in Clinton for similar thefts, Kimble said.

Wade was in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility awaiting his initial court appearance.
