Man arrested for saw theft

A Jackson man accused of stealing a saw was held in the Warren County Jail this morning.

Micheal Smith, 41 who lives on Andover Drive in Jackson, was arrested Thursday and charged with grand larceny, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.

Smith is accused of taking a Stihl telescopic pole saw valued at $600 from a vehicle Thursday at Riverwalk Casino, 1046 Warrenton Road, Kimble said.

The saw was recovered in Smith’s vehicle, Kimble said.

Smith was held without bail this morning awaiting his initial court appearance.
