JACKSON — Paul Harvey Stark of Flowood died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. He was 62.
Mr. Stark was born in Indianola to the late Harvey David Stark Sr. and Victoria Virginia Strom Stark. He lived most of his life in south Jackson and for the last eight years in Flowood.
He was in law enforcement for most of his life from patrol to investigator, the last 13 years with the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department.
He was actively involved in baseball, raising his four sons to play, and was involved in fundraisers for sports at Northwest Rankin High School.
He was a member of Pinelake Church in Brandon. First and foremost, he loved his family, friends and his three loyal canine companions. He loved to watch baseball, joke, laugh, barbecue, and he never met a stranger.
He will be missed by everyone whose life he touched.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Michele Middleton Stark of Flowood; sons, Hunter (Charlotte) Stark of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Colby (Courtney) Stark of Brandon, Taylor Stark and Jordan Stark, both of Flowood; daughter, Brooke Stark (fiance Blake Everette) of Brandon; mother-in-law, Vivian Middleton of Redwood; brother David (Terri) Stark of Byram; sister, Ginger (Bo) Worley of Jackson; grandchildren, Addison, Marley and Harvey Stark.
