Lener M. Taylor died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was 100.
She was a retired seamstress who was self-taught in the culinary arts as well as being a seamstress. She was a member of Bible Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilliard and Virginia Harris; her husband, Estes Taylor; sons, Billy Taylor and Jeffery Taylor; daughters, Mamie McGowan and Lee Ester Taylor; brothers, Walter Harris and Jackson Harris; sisters, Mamie Rodgers Wright, Lilly Harris, Elizabeth Harris, and Mabel Harris.
Survivors include her caregiver; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and cousins and other relatives.
Services will 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the. Rev. Greg Clemts officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
