Zorada Derby died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at her residence. She was 56.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Prentiss-Derby; father, Roscoe Derby; two sister, Theresa Derby-Myles and Lillian Derby-Miller; and two brothers, Willie Freeman and Leroy Prentiss-Bride.

Survivors include her daughter, Natasha Derby-West of Vicksburg; a brother, Larry Freeman of Vicksburg; a sister, Eleanor Derby-Neally of Oakland, Calif.; a niece she reared as her daughter, Octavia Myles; two nephews she reared as her sons, Charles Myles, Jr. and Joshua Myles both of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including the Derby, Calvin, Williams, Myles, Freeman, Prentiss, West, Chiplin, Eastman and Cosey families.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
