Patricia “Pat” Reed Shelley died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014. She was 62.

Ms. Shelley was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Reed; her maternal grandparents John and Pearl Reed; her father, Henry Brown; paternal grandparents, Dennis and Molly Brown; her big sister and best friend, Regina Reed Snow; her brother and confidant, Billy Reed, her sister Betty England, and brother; George Brown.

Survivors include a companion, Melvin McFarland; a son, Kelvin Reed, of Jackson; a daughter, Tracy Anderson, of Madison; four sisters, Gloria Erves, of Atlanta, Bernadine Hatchette, Patricia Shacer and  Sandra Brown, all of Vicksburg;  three brothers, Tommy “Rell” Reed, of Atlanta, Charles Brown and Leon Brown, both of Vicksburg; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Greater Grove Street Church in Vicksburg. Visitation is 1-6 p.m. Friday at Jackson Memorial in Jackson.
