Two held in auto burglary

Two Warren County men accused of breaking into a vehicle at a store in Bovina were held without bail this morning.
Timothy Austin Williams, 22, who lives on Cottonwood Drive, and David Freeman Sullivan, 22, who lives on Vera Lane, were arrested Tuesday night and charged with auto burglary, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
The two men and the white van they were in were identified from surveillance video from the parking lot of a store in Bovina where they broke into a vehicle, Pace said.
On Tuesday evening, the van was spotted in the 4400 block of Halls Ferry Road near Williams home, Pace said.
Sullivan was arrested later that night on Clark Street, Pace said.
A cellphone stolen in Bovina was recovered, he said.
The investigation is continuing today led by Todd Dykes, Pace said.
Williams and Sullivan were held without bail this morning in the Warren County Jail awaiting their initial court appearances.

Man charged with having stolen goods
A Vicksburg man accused of having stolen jewelry was held without bail this morning.
Vaughn Shaw, 20, who lives on Baum Street, was arrested Monday and charged with receiving stolen property, Vicksburg police Lt. Sandra Williams said.
Shaw was caught with jewelry stolen Sunday from a home on Baum Street, Williams said.
Shaw was held without bail this morning in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility.

Shoplifting suspect free on bail
A Vicksburg woman accused of shoplifting from Dillards was free on bail this morning.
Jocandra Williams, 19, who lives on Bodley Street, was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony shoplifting, Vicksburg police Lt. Sandra Williams said.
Lt. Williams is not related to Jocandra Williams.
Jocandra Williams is accused of helping steal more than $1,700 in Polo Ralph Lauren shirts from Dillard’s at Vicksburg Mall, Lt. Williams said.
Jocandra Williams posted $2,500 bail and was released.

Waterproof man caught with cocaine
A Tensas Parish man accused of having more than 2 pounds of cocaine in his vehicle was held without bail today in Richland Parish.
Carl Frazier Jr., 34, of Waterproof, La., was arrested Tuesday near Rayville, La. and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, said Louisiana State Police spokesman Albert Paxton.
Waterproof is about 15 miles south of St. Joseph on U.S. 65.
Frazier was driving an eastbound 2004 Nissan Altima on Interstate 20 west of Rayville when he was stopped by an LSP trooper for a traffic violation, Paxton said.
Troopers, along with K-9 officer Senda found approximately 2.2 pounds of cocaine in the vehicle, Paxton said.
The drug has an estimated street value of $79,000, he said.
Frazier was held without bail this morning in the Richland Parish Detention Center.

Gun, electronics hot in burglaries
A gun, flashlights and electronics were among the items missing in three burglaries reported Tuesday in Vicksburg and Warren County.
At 8:34 a.m., a Kimber 1911 .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol valued at $3,000 was reported stolen from the 400 block of Garden Grove Street, according to Warren County sheriff’s records.
A PlayStation 3 valued at $300, two PlayStation controllers  with a combined value of $120, an Xbox 360 valued at $200, and assorted jewelry valued at $450 were reported were reported missing at 1:45 p.m. in the 300 block Hillside Drive, Vicksburg police Lt. Sandra Williams said.
At 5 p.m., a Surefire flashlight valued at $45, a Streamlight flashlight valued at $119 and a pair of Costa sunglasses valued at $169 were reported stolen from a truck in the 400 block Evans Street, according to sheriff’s records.
