Darol Lore Thorpe

Darol Lore Thorpe Jr. died at his home in Lorman Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014. He was 57.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Jefferson County, and lived in Red Lick for the past 33 years. He attended St. Anne Catholic Church in Fayette.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Thorpe.

Survivors include his father, Darol Lore Thorpe Sr. of Union Church; wife, Tanya Thorpe of Red Lick; four sons, Darol Lore Thorpe III of Natchez, Michael Joesph Thorpe of McComb, Timothy Russell Thorpe Sr., and James Ryan Thorpe, both of Red Lick; two daughters, EmilyAnne Marie Thorpe of Red Lick, and Frances Faith Thorpe of Red Lick; two brothers, Kenneth Thorpe of Vicksburg, and Tracy Glen Thorpe Brookhaven; four sisters, JoDay Boyles of Florida, Debbie Shelton of Pattison, Karen Bush of Fayette, and Tina Carithers of Hattisburg; and two grandchildren.

Service was noon today at St. Anne Catholic Church in Fayette with Father James Fallen officating. Burial followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Port Gibson, under the direction on Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Darol Thorpe, Michael Thorpe, Timothy Thorpe, James Thorpe, Emily Thorpe, and Frances Thorpe.
