UTICA — Arthur “Poncho” Robinson Jr., died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, in Houston, Texas. He was 32.
Mr. Robinson was the third child born to Arthur Robinson Sr. and Johnnie Mae Robinson in Vicksburg on Dec. 3, 1981, and grew up in Utica. He was a graduate of Hinds A.H.S. and Paul Quinn College in Dallas, and was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He was a member of Belmont Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Beulah Bradley; paternal grandparents, Lee G. Robinson Sr. and Rosie Lee Robinson; and one sister, Annette Allen.
Survivors include his parents; eight sisters, Sylvia Robinson-Harris of Houston, Texas, Laura Britton and Gwendolyn Jones of New Orleans, Quianna Williams, LeKeisha Williams, Connie Pollard, Demetric Williams-Fisher, all of Utica, and Wanda Williams-Rodgers of Byram; three brothers, Lee Guster Robinson  and Alexander Allen, both of Utica, and Dewayne Williams of Jackson; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Westhaven Memorial Funeral Home in Utica with the Rev. Phillip Burks officiating.  Burial will be at Belmont M.B. Church in Utica.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
