Roscoe Long

EUDORA, ARK. — Roscoe Long died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. He was 76.
Mr. Long was born on March 21, 1937, in Eagle Lake to Ruby Lee Davis Wesley and Wash Long.  He attended Eagle Lake Public Schools, and worked for many years at Lincoln Meat Company and for Dobbs International at O’Hare Airport in Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Davis Wesley.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Long of Eudora; seven stepchildren; his father, Wash Long; four brothers, Orelious Wesley of Chicago, Oliver Wesley, Odell Wesley and Roosevelt Wesley all of Vicksburg; seven sisters: Rosie Lee Johnson, Katherine Woodland, Christine Brown, Betty Berry, Laura Jones and Edith Curtis, all of Vicksburg, and Thedia Ann Shelly of Stockton, Calif.; and nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Bloomyshade Missionary Baptist Church in Eudora with the Rev. Vernie Rodgers Thomas officiating.  Burial was in the Hill Cemetery under the direction of Bethune Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers were family and friends.
