Frank Norman Johnson

Frank Norman Johnson died Monday, March 3, 2014, at his home. He was 76.
Born in LeCompte, La., he was a former resident of Forest Hill, La., and had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1976. Mr. Johnson was the son of the late Frank Johnson and Jessie Mae Coffey Johnson.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a surveyor, receiving his discharge on June 25, 1962, with the rank of corporal. Mr. Johnson received his bachelor of science degree and civil engineering degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He was employed as a civil engineer with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Commission, retiring Jan. 3, 2005, with 39 years of service.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Crossway Church and the Adult Four Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Carter Johnson of Vicksburg; two sons, Philip Norman Johnson (Madeleine) of Livingston, Mont., and Craig Allen Johnson (Jennifer) of Brandon; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Dwight Johnson of Slidell, La.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister and two brothers.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry White, pastor of Crossway Church, officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 9 a.m until the service.
Memorials may be made to favorite charities.
Pallbearers will be Joseph McCormack, R. E. Morgan, Joe Wooley, Stephen Johnson, Daniel Johnson and Malcolm Dove.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Victor Agostinelli, Ron Goldman and Wayne Patrick.
