Services for for Ronald E. “Vamp” Summers will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at First Baptist Church at noon with the Rev. Clifton Jackson officiating. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge. A visitation will be held held Saturday in the chapel.

Mr. Summers died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at River Region Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 58. He was a member of First Baptist Church and worked for the Vicksburg Chemical Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents Riley and Inez Minor Summers; and sons, Kevin Harper and Darrell Hall.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Jefferson Summers; a son Ronald Lyons, of Vicksburg; daughters Nikki Williams and Vicky Williams, both of Arkansas, and Jalisa Walker and Terraya Samuels, both of Vicksburg; brothers Riley Summers III and Thomas Summers, both of Vicksburg; sisters Brenda Summers, Bernetta Summers and Kathy Summers, all of Vicksburg; six grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and relatives.
