Willie Ruth Hopkins died on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at North Metro Medical Center in Jacksonville, Ark. She was 89.
She was born in Hattiesburg to Willie Elbert Wright and Mary Jewel Lewis Wright, and worked as an accountant for a lumber company. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where she served in the nursery.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Edward Hopkins.
Survivors include a brother, Michael E. Wright of Jacksonville, Ark.; an aunt; and two nephews.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday , March 21, 2014, at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Hattiesburg, under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be members of Immanuel Baptist Church.
